Unsafe Cold Conditions Endanger Children and Staff at this nursery I’m writing to highlight serious concerns about this nursery ,where I recently completed a placement. The most alarming issue is the prohibition of heating—regardless of how cold it gets. Staff are explicitly told not to turn it on, leaving the nursery freezing for both children and employees. During my time there, children constantly had runny noses, and many appeared lethargic or unwell—direct consequences of the cold. I wore triple layers and still shivered, so I can only imagine how distressing this is for young kids who can’t regulate their body temperature as well. A warm environment is basic for child safety and development, and this nursery is failing to provide it. Staff morale is also catastrophic. We’re underpaid, overworked, and demoralized by management’s disregard for our comfort and the children’s health. It’s heartbreaking to see dedicated caregivers unable to do their jobs properly because of such neglect. Parents deserve to know their children are in a safe, nurturing space.refusal to address the heating issue is unacceptable and puts vulnerable kids at risk. I urge the management to prioritize the well-being of those in their care immediately.
