Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

This has had a positive impact on children, including children who speak English as an additional language and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Parents confirm that they are well informed about their children's learning and are very pleased with the support they receive, particularly those parents whose children have speech and language difficulties.

Outdoor space

Since the last inspection, they have implemented several improvements, especially in the outdoor area. This has led to an increase in children's engagement in meaningful activities, such as balancing, painting, and imaginative play. Children put on their coats and shoes for outdoor play. When they find a spider in the garden, they count its legs with the children.

Our daughter has been at Stars Worcester Park for going on 2 years now. She has been so happy there and we have been equally happy with the nursery. They offer a wide range of wonderful, educational extras like French lessons, Tiny Talk and Teddy Tennis. The class lessons and activities are also informative, interesting and well thought out. The staff are great- super professional, always friendly, really kind and loving. As working parents we appreciate the quick drop off and pick up, the long opening hours and the mostly the wonderful staff. Knowing that our daughter is happy, safe, loved and most importantly, is being challenged and stimulated whilst we are at work, is an absolute dream.

Garden House is a wonderful, nurturing and safe place for my children who have been there for the past 3.5 years and counting. The owner is an impressive business owner who invests heavily into the seamless operational side of the nursery and she employs a high quality management and staffing team which makes all the difference to parent-teacher engagement and happiness of the children. Any issues I have had, have been always been considered and dealt with swiftly by management or the owner directly. The facilities are fantastic and I love knowing that I drop my kids off and they will be happy and safe everyday. As a household with two working parents, I couldn’t recommend the nursery more if you want stress free high quality childcare. Make sure you get on that waiting list early as places are always in high demand.

Our daughter is extremely happy in her nursery setting. We can't thank the staff enough for their patience, care and attention, our daughter adores them. The nursery has a homely feel with all staff playing a role in ensuring our daughter develops, as well as enjoys her pre school years. As parents we are kept well informed, this makes the process of leaving your child in childcare so much easier. Naturally with children, things don't always go to plan and when this has happened the staff have dealt with this in a professional, compassionate manner. We would recommend the nursery to others.

We felt an instant connection to the team at Stars Worcester Park when we first visited and could see that the children were very happy, enjoying learning and playing and also very sociable with each other and us. We had a good feeling and it turned out to be justified! Starting at 11 months, our daughter's transition into nursery went very smoothly. Within a few days, she was happy going and being picked up from nursery and developed strong bonds with a few of the staff. The team are amazing, offering really personalised care for each child. They give us a short update at the end of each day and we love hearing about and seeing photos of all the activities she's been doing, as well as seeing her development progress in her learning journal. It's quite a small nursery with babies and toddlers downstairs and older ones upstairs, and a good area for the outdoor play they do every day. For us, the environment seems just the right mix between structured and stimulating, with a couple of main activities each day as well as opportunities for independent play and learning. Food is provided by Zebedees, freshly made each day with a good variety of different dishes that rotate on a 3-week rotation and a new menu each season. Hours are 7.30am–6.30pm, though we usually drop off and pick up an hour inside those timings. The team have been very good at listening to and responding to our needs and concerns. The staff really care and are always warm and welcoming and all of them, not just her key person, have got to know our daughter well, and we can see she feels comfortable with all of the team.

We first used the nursery for our son who is now 6, he loved going and we saw him really develop his confidence and he had great relationships with the team. Our 18 month old daughter now goes to the Garden House Nursery. She loves going, and we enjoy seeing all the activities she does via the very useful app. The team are always so thoughtful and helpful, I can see that the genuinely care about the children.
