About this day nursery

The Meadows Community Pre-school, established in 2015, operates as a registered charity located in Catcliffe, Rotherham, on the grounds of Catcliffe Primary School. The pre-school provides high-quality childcare and education for children from two years old up to statutory school age.

Following its latest inspection in July 2023, it holds a 'Good' judgment from Ofsted. The curriculum is built upon the Early Years Foundation Stage, ensuring children progress well towards the Early Learning Goals.

Emphasis is placed on learning through play, with a rich and varied outdoor area that includes gardening, wildlife observation spots, a mud kitchen, and a bike track. Each child is assigned a key person who supports their transition into the pre-school, acts as a primary contact for families, and tracks the child's development and learning journey using the secure online platform, Tapestry, which also facilitates two-way communication between staff and parents.

The pre-school actively encourages family involvement and offers visits to prospective families.
