The Oak Tree Nursery School, established in 2004 in Whitchurch, Hampshire, is dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere where children can flourish and achieve their full potential. The nursery prides itself on creating a stimulating environment that promotes active play both indoors and outdoors, enabling children to make positive choices and learn at their own pace.

Emphasising health and well-being, children are encouraged to play outside year-round, equipped appropriately for all weather conditions. The nursery also focuses on social and emotional development, guiding children in building confidence, self-discipline, and respect for others.

Housed in two purpose-built, pavilion-style buildings designed to complement the rural surroundings, the nursery features vaulted ceilings, natural colours, and child-level displays to create a bright, airy, and child-friendly space. They follow the government's EYFS curriculum and employ a dedicated cook who prepares meals using fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Social and emotional development is key to a child’s confidence and happiness and we help children learn self-discipline and respect for others.

What it's like

Children arrive to a warm welcome from familiar staff who know their needs well. They enjoy a wide range of experiences and show an eagerness to learn. Staff play alongside children with great enthusiasm, successfully capturing their attention and skilfully adapting play to suit various needs.
