About this day nursery

The Oak Tree Nursery School, established in 2004 in Whitchurch, Hampshire, is dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere where children can flourish and achieve their full potential. The nursery prides itself on creating a stimulating environment that promotes active play both indoors and outdoors, enabling children to make positive choices and learn at their own pace.

Emphasising health and well-being, children are encouraged to play outside year-round, equipped appropriately for all weather conditions. The nursery also focuses on social and emotional development, guiding children in building confidence, self-discipline, and respect for others.

Housed in two purpose-built, pavilion-style buildings designed to complement the rural surroundings, the nursery features vaulted ceilings, natural colours, and child-level displays to create a bright, airy, and child-friendly space. They follow the government's EYFS curriculum and employ a dedicated cook who prepares meals using fresh, high-quality ingredients.

We believe children thrive when they are in a welcoming, stimulating environment where they have the freedom to make positive choices and learn through active play, both indoors and out. A wonderful place. Special mention to Emma who worked with Freddie to take him from a little boy that was terrified of being left at nursery to a confident child who loved being there. It’s evident they all really care about the work they do which is amazing
