About this day nursery

The Parish Nursery, a family-run establishment with over 25 years of experience, has been serving the community since 1999, offering quality childcare and education. The nursery is dedicated to providing a nurturing, welcoming, and secure setting where every child feels cherished, valued, and encouraged to learn.

It boasts four large, purpose-built areas tailored to different developmental stages: a Baby Unit for infants up to 24 months, Lower Tweenies for 2-3 year olds focusing on exploration and social skills, and Upper Tweenies for 3-4 year olds preparing for school through play. Additionally, the nursery features a sensory room for calm and curiosity, and a physical room to support movement.

An expansive outdoor area with an adventure trail, greenhouse, and forest ensures outdoor learning in all weather. The Parish Nursery also provides Before and After School Care and a Holiday Club for children up to 11 years old.

The nursery follows an ‘In the Moment’ curriculum, responding to children's individual interests and needs, fostering curiosity, and promoting learning through everyday experiences. They aim to help each child reach their full potential in a homely, secure, and nurturing environment, with a child-centred approach in each room and a free-flow environment for indoor and outdoor exploration.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well. Robust systems help staff identify learning gaps quickly, and the special educational needs coordinator ensures timely support from outside professionals for children at risk of falling behind, preparing them for the next stage of learning.

Outdoor space

The inspector observed the quality of education indoors and outdoors and evaluated the impact on children's learning.

Lovely nursery, all the staff are amazing and I have peace of mind knowing that my little boy is well looked after when I'm at work. My little boy loves going and is always learning new things and doing different activities. I would definitely recommend The Parish Nursery.

Would highly recommend Parish nursery. My 3 year old boy has been going since he was 11 month old and he loves going and throughly enjoys his time there. The staff are lovely and care for the children like they were there own.

Fantastic nursery! The staff are exceptional they care about every child and their individual needs. My daughter is so excited to go into nursery in the morning and never wants to leave when I come to collect her. You're kept up to date about what they've been doing and learning. I can’t wait for my son to start attending.
