Thorner Preschool & Toddler Group, situated in Thorner village on the grounds of Thorner Church of England School, offers a stimulating and nurturing environment for children aged 18 months up to school age. Established in 1999, the preschool holds an "Good" Ofsted rating and is a registered charity.
It boasts excellent access to extensive outdoor spaces, including a dedicated learning area crafted primarily from natural materials, encouraging children to explore and interact with their surroundings. The preschool is committed to fostering a positive self-identity in each child, ensuring they feel secure and content as they learn.
A key person system is in place to provide consistent support within a friendly and non-judgmental atmosphere. The curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage, with all learning facilitated through play, both indoors and outdoors.

Staff plan a range of activities based on children's interests and current events, which helps to effectively develop children's thinking and problem-solving skills.
Fees are structured by age groups, with separate rates for children aged eighteen months, two years, and three to four years. Parents can choose between individual sessions or full days. An additional services charge is applied per half or full day to cover consumables, snacks, and extra-curricular activities.

The garden has been carefully designed to allow children to negotiate the space. Children are able to take risks, and challenge themselves on the climbing wall. There are spaces for children to move around more freely within the school playground.
