Inclusion & environment
Staff assess children's development and carefully plan individual support where it is needed, such as using sign language. The manager leads staff in identifying children who may need extra help. As a result, staff seek guidance from other professionals and make timely referrals for support.
Children play together happily in the well-resourced outdoor areas, digging in the sandpit and developing confidence in learning to ride a balance bike. The manager uses knowledge about children's progress to drive improvements, for example, staff develop the outdoor environments so that babies and younger children benefit from adults playing with them in quieter and shaded areas, while pre-school children explore mark making with water sprays.
Both my children (LG 2Y & LB 8M) attend Tick Tocks and I cannot recommend them enough. When enroling, I was given a tour of the nursery before commiting to anything and was made to feel at ease, with help on the different types of funding available and any questions answered there and then with costs and registration fee clearly explained. Following this we were offered a number of settling in sessions to help my children get used to being away from us parents 😂 safe to say both of mine felt instantly comfortable after just a few hours. I recieve daily updates, photos and we are provided a weekly menu for lunch (my daughter has dietary needs and they are always so accommodating). My son is also currently weaning onto solids which they have been happy to continue and have also offered toilet training support when my daughter is ready. Staff are always so friendly and happy - checking regularly for any change in my children's routines or preferences. Really surprised about the reviews on here, with so few reviews and so many children that attend the nursery/preschool it's a shame people only feel that they can leave a negative experience and never positive ones. Our experience has been nothing but good! Thank you Tick Tocks!
