Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive good support. Management and staff communicate well with other agencies involved in their care to ensure appropriate care plans and targeted support are in place. Staff use pictures or words in children's home language to help them communicate effectively, ensuring the nursery is fully inclusive.

Outdoor space

Children practise their developing physical skills outdoors as they climb on benches and jump into staff's waiting arms. Staff support children to develop the confidence needed to take these risks. A recent grant has enabled the manager to develop part of the garden for forest school activities.

Both of my sons attended this nursery and I honestly can’t put into words how grateful I am for the care and support they’ve shown our family. From the very beginning the staff have been warm, caring and professional, and they have created such a positive environment for children to grow and thrive. One of my sons is autistic and non-verbal, and the team have been absolutely amazing with him. They have been so patient, understanding and accommodating to his individual needs, always making sure he feels safe, included and supported. What makes this nursery stand out even more is that they were the only nursery willing to give him a chance when other nurseries wouldn’t. That meant everything to us as parents, and I will always be thankful for the kindness, effort and genuine care they showed. I genuinely can’t fault them in any way—this nursery is truly amazing, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a supportive, nurturing and inclusive setting.- thank you to all the staff Gabriela xx

My son has been attending 6 months now and has also experienced a room transition. So far, I cannot fault anyone. From the management staff who are always very accommodating, the baby room who helped to get him so settled so quickly onto his next level room where every member is playing such a key part in building his confidence. Before this he had never left my side now he runs in, tells me to put his stuff away and waves me off. Staff keep communication open at all times and ask and respond to parent input to make the kids day as enjoyable as possible. Even coming through the door in the morning you may be greeted by a staff member who isn't in that child's room but they still know his name and greet him good morning! The outdoor play is also one of the biggest deciding factors as my son loves to be outdoors and they make an effort to have the kids experience the outdoors in various elements. Would highly recommend based on our experience

My children (4 and 6) attend holiday club due to work commitments. They are so happy when I drop them off and upon collection. They are well looked after and there are plenty of activities for them to get involved in. The staff are very patient, understanding and friendly. You can talk to any member of staff and they all have a smile on their faces and enjoy being at work. No question is a silly question and they reassure you at all times. They provide you with updates of the kids day including pictures via the app and you can communicate with the staff via the app too. Helen the manager is amazing as are the rest of the staff. My child is autistic and she has a lovely time there and comes home so happy with stickers for tidying up and going to the toilet etc. it's a lovely place. It was recommended to me by a friend (which I am so thankful for) I would highly recommend Tinkerbells Nursery to all.
