Inclusion & environment
Leaders have a good knowledge of how to support disadvantaged children, and those who may encounter barriers to learning, such as children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, should they attend the setting in the future. Staff identify babies' and children's needs quickly and accurately, and collaborate with parents and other professionals to give every child the best possible start in life and reduce barriers to learning. All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make progress because of prompt intervention and focused teaching strategies.
Children enjoy the outdoor area, which supports physical development for toddlers and pre-schoolers. However, staff do not fully extend or challenge children's learning outdoors and are less confident in doing so compared to indoor activities.
All children, including those who speak English as an additional language, make progress because of prompt intervention and focused teaching strategies.
My daughter has just had her last day at Tiny Acorns and it was very emotional for her to leave such a wonderful and caring place. I really don't think I could have asked for any more, they have played such an important part in shaping her early years and they have done a superb job.
