About this day nursery

Tot Town Nursery, established in January 1999 by Jackie Green and her daughter Joanne, is a family-operated childcare facility in High Wycombe. Their goal was to create a warm and inviting environment where Joanne would feel comfortable enrolling her own children.

The nursery caters to babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, offering Ofsted-regulated care. They prioritise a happy, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for children aged 3 months to 5 years, with a dedicated baby unit.

The staff are all qualified in the Early Years Foundation Stage and are chosen for their experience and compassionate approach. Tot Town provides stimulating indoor spaces and multiple outdoor play areas, including access to a newly built children's playground and the nearby Desborough Recreation Ground for nature walks, picnics, and play.

The nursery focuses on fostering social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development, helping children to build self-confidence, independence, and an awareness of others. They employ a Key Worker system to track each child's progress across the seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage: Communication & Language, Physical Development, Personal, Social & Emotional Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts & Design.

Staffing ratios are 3:1 for babies, 4:1 for under 3s, and 8:1 for under 5s. They also offer convenient drop-off parking for parents.

Tot Town Nursery has been a great experience for our child. Communication with the staff is very good, and everyone is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. My child is always happy to go. They offer a lovely variety of activities, including French lessons, cooking, and park visits, which is great. Overall, we’re happy with the nursery and would recommend it.

Brilliant place! Every morning my 20month old is so excited to go to nursery she puts her shoes and coat on without any second thoughts. They have amazing activities that develop creativity, problem solving skills and generally, Mia loves being there! Very nice and pleasant staff and daily reports on what has happened during the day with some monthly reports on development process. Would always recommend.

Both of my children go to the nursery and I feel so comfortable sending them here. My son started when he was 2.5 years old, with a serve speech delay. The nursery did 1-1 sessison with him, and overall put SOOO much effort into helping him overcome this barrier, which i am forever grateful for. The nursery has great equipment, knowledgeable, fun and caring staff and openly listen to any feedback. I am so grateful for this nursery, as they truly are incredible and my children wouldn't be thriving the same way had they not come to this nursery and been looked after with such care.
