Both of my children have attended Train Station Day Nursery and they have both absolutely loved it! My eldest went from being 15 month old, and my youngest from 13 months old. Staff are super friendly and approachable in every single room, including management, and deal with all situations appropriately. We have always been able to ask staff questions around our children's development, or if we had any concerns. They have also been incredibly helpful both times with potty training, letting us know when they thought our children were ready to potty train and actively encouraged our children with it. The crafts that they do around holiday times or special occasions are great, and my children have always been super proud coming home with their latest crafts to show off how they spent their day. The in-house soft play area 'Toy Town' is a particular stand-out for me from other nurseries, as well as their sensory room. We're so glad that we chose Train Station for both of our children - the nursery has truly helped them to thrive and grow into their personalities. Would always recommend!

My son has attended a few different nursery’s over the years and couldn’t really settle into any of them apart from Train Station Nursery. He has made excellent relationships with practitioners in the pre- school rooms such as Lucy, Jess and Joanne - they have all made him feel safe and meet him in the morning with a smile and see to it that he settles in well with his peers. We were worried how he would settle in terms of leaving his parents in the morning and eating his meals as he has struggled in previous nursery settings, however the practitioners calm him down and constantly encourage him to eat his meals. Each day my son attends nursery he tells us how much fun he has had exploring the room and the activities available to him . We can also keep track of this too by messaging on the family app , where they send us photos of what our child has done in the day . We can also track how much he has eaten in the family app . Train station nursery has been an amazing setting for our son and I would happily recommend the nursery to prospective families! :)

I honestly can’t say enough good things about Train Station Day Nursery. From day one, the staff have been so friendly and caring, and it’s really clear they genuinely love the children they look after. My child settled in so much quicker than I expected, which says a lot. Every day they come home chatting about what they’ve been up to — whether it’s messy play, being outside, or story time — and it’s been lovely to see how much their confidence has grown. The team are great at keeping us updated and always make time for a quick chat at pick-up, which I really appreciate. It just gives you that reassurance that your little one is happy and in safe hands. It really does feel like a home away from home, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other parents.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS AWFUL NURSERY! this is abit of a late review but I’ve only had a chance to write it now. A couple of weeks ago, my sister who was looking for nursery places for her child was scheduled a show around at this nursery. I came with her to have a look around at the nursery and my God would I not want my child to be looked after at that nursery. First of all, the manger or whoever it was giving us a show around just did not seem interested at all. She wasn’t very approachable I didn’t get a warm friendly vibe off her and when we was asking questions we felt like we was being brushed off a lot. It seemed like half the time she didn’t know what was going on at all. The nursery setting looked dirty. There were food bits in the hallway. Every room we looked into the children looked bored and I don’t even blame them. It seemed like the staff only did Activites for ‘show’ because they knew a parent was coming to look around. As soon as your back is turned it seemed like they went back to gossiping. The children had no engaging activities, learning opportunities were really poor. The garden for all the room is so small children did not have enough room to play and run around freely. In addition to this, one of the rooms that stood out to us was the toddler room because of how bad it was. When we went in the room the children were misbehaving and jumping on top of each other. The staff looked like they couldn’t handle them at all. There are a lot of young girls at the nursery so during our time I noticed a lot of them were chatting away with each other, and not paying much attention to the children. This sent alarm bells ringing. I overheard a staff member bad mouth another staff member who just left the room. I was shocked they was brave enough to do that infront of us and not even hide it. There was two girls in particular in toddler room one had black hair and tattoos and another had silverfish kind of hair. They stood out to me as I was shocked at how unprofessional they was. I was observing them both and how they engaged with children and it felt like they was both shouty at the children, they seemed like they didn’t even want to be there at the job. Especially the one with black hair. I feel so uneasy and u comfortable being there. The staff don’t seem very warm and friendly and I personally wouldn’t want to send my child alone there. We just had an awful experience and I’m so glad I didn’t send my child there bc now we found a new nursery who is so much better and ones who actually feel like they care about your children

Viewed this place in November and was told id be contacted mid December to find out if I was offered a place or not.. noone ever contacted me back despite me ringing multiple times but in all honesty I'm kind of relieved as the woman who showed me around looked as though she was half asleep and had a very tiring tone she just looked like she didn't care, probably should of choose a different person to show people around as there representing the place where your suppose to trust the people watching your children which she didnt respresent well at all also most of the children I saw there looked miserable with 1 boy in a room rolling around the floor crying and noone attended to him. The place also looked abit outdated and dirty so I'd look somewhere else for your baby's as this isn't the place I'd feel comfortable sending my baby plus there terrible with communication and none of them really looked as though they enjoyed there job or wanted to be there. Don't work with children if your not enthusiastic about it and are not energetic
