Busy Bees at Ealing 2A and 2B The Grove offers comprehensive childcare services, with a strong emphasis on nutritional well-being and developmental learning. The nursery provides NHS-accredited menus, with all meals freshly prepared on-site by trained chefs, promoting healthy eating habits and independence during mealtimes.
Beyond food, the nursery focuses on fostering curiosity and social skills in a supportive and inclusive setting. They accept various government funding schemes, including universal 15 hours for 3 and 4-year-olds, 30 hours for working families, and 15 hours for eligible 2-year-olds, as well as Tax-Free Childcare.
While funded places are available without additional charges, many families opt for the 'Busy Bees One' all-inclusive package, which includes meals, snacks, drinks, nappies, wipes, and sun cream, providing convenience and value. The nursery offers flexibility, allowing parents to 'stretch' funded hours across the full year or book additional non-funded hours.
They also work with parents to navigate the complexities of childcare funding, providing guidance on eligibility, application processes, and local authority rules. Mealtimes are viewed as key learning opportunities, contributing to the children’s confidence, fine motor skills, and overall school readiness.
The nursery does not permit packed lunches for those who opt out of the 'Busy Bees One' package, citing nutritional consistency, independence training, and food safety as reasons for this policy. They encourage parents to communicate directly with the nursery team for any queries regarding funding or changes to their child's attendance.
Our ethos
At Busy Bees, we're proud to include freshly prepared, NHS Startwell accredited meals as part of our Busy Bees One offering. By maintaining this approach, we can create a safe, inclusive, and enriching mealtime environment that supports children's well-being and development. Mealtimes are key learning moments, helping children develop confidence in exploring new tastes, handling food, and using cutlery - all essential skills for school readiness. Our diverse menus and engaging routines encourage independence, social skills, and adventurous eating habits, all in a supportive, inclusive environment.
