Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection

They feel that their children are well cared for, and they have seen lots of progress in their children.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported. Staff are skilled in identifying children's additional needs early. They work effectively with a range of professionals and use a range of strategies to ensure the children have the best possible outcomes.

Outdoor space

Children enjoy being active as they jump and catch bubbles and instigate imaginative chasing games, strengthening their physical skills. As babies explore sand in the garden, staff name the animals and sing 'three little ducks'.

EAL / language support

Staff appropriately adapt interactions to support children who speak English as an additional language. Single words and picture symbols are used to help build children's understanding. The use of words gathered from the children's families support children to hear their home language at the setting and to make connections with what they know. This helps to develop children's confidence in speaking English.

Both my kids love Busy Bees @ Kilburn! Staff is very caring, friendly and making everyday a fun environment for the kids to go to. Regular catch-ups with the staff are informing and reassuring. All the rooms have been recently renovated and there is lots of space for the kids to play indoors and outdoors. Amazing outdoor space too! Overall, I am really happy and i would highly recommend this nursery.

At first we thought this is where our baby will go, however soon after our visit we realised this nursery is just part of a “factory”. Automated emails before and after visit, constant automated follow ups on feedback but no follow through by real people. I say this because when we applied for our baby, an email was sent saying they’ll contact us in a few days. A few days never came. We called, the director Laura picked up and said “oh your baby’s application is next I’ll have a look and call you by end of week”. End of week came and she never called. This was repeated 5 times - not an exaggeration. We called, they said they’ll call back and never did. Just amazed and baffled by this. If this how they respond to prospective parents I’m not sure how long it will take to resolve things once baby is in the nursery.
