Truly Scrumptious Early Years Nursery in Ongar is committed to providing a high-quality early learning environment for children, operating 51 weeks a year and closing only for Christmas and Bank Holidays. The day nursery offers comprehensive care, with all fees inclusive of nappies, wipes, meals, snacks, and refreshments.

They embrace government funding schemes, offering stretched models for both 15-hour universal funding and 30-hour extended funding, which translate to 11 and 22 funded hours per week respectively over the 51-week operational period. Although packed lunches are not permitted due to allergy concerns and limited storage, the day nursery provides a varied meal service.

An additional consumables charge is applied per half-day session to enhance the provision, covering items like snacks, drinks, increased staff-to-child ratios, staff training, online learning journals, and various educational resources and activities like French and sports lessons. Pricing & funding

SEND provision

The support in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is strong. Managers and staff know how to support children's learning and care needs. They monitor interventions closely to ensure that children with SEND make good progress.

Outdoor space

Outdoors, children thoroughly enjoy searching for worms and other tiny creatures. They show their developing understanding as they remember looking under stones or in the compost last time they searched. Children use equipment such as magnifying glasses, which they confidently explain will help them to see 'closer'.

My son has been at TS for over 2 years they have all always been exceptional, he has really flourished under their care. They have an excellent balance of learning and play and lots of outdoor play and good in house cooked meals that he loves. They are preparing him well for going into a school setting from a practical, social and emotional point of view. He loves the french and yoga sessions they do. It was a really relief to find such reliable and trustworthy care and have been a real support to my son and myself

The best kindergarten in the world! my son started there in January at the age of 3 with 0 English skills. Now his language skills are perfect and all day long he talks about the super good and funny things he did in preschool. In addition to all this, they place a huge emphasis on education, for example creative teaching, learning the French language and proper nutrition. In this nursery- preschool, all children's needs are really provided for and they are accompanied through the various stages of development with great love and expertise. And we parents always receive up-to-date information, pictures and descriptions of our child's day. It was the best decision to Truly Scrumptious Early Years Nursery - Ongar choose
