About this day nursery

Warborough & Shillingford Pre-School, also known as WASPS, is a charitable organisation dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Their philosophy centres on fostering learning through play within a relaxed, inclusive setting, encouraging children to explore and grow at their own pace.

The preschool offers a comprehensive programme that includes both morning and afternoon sessions, featuring a blend of free play, guided activities, group learning, storytelling, and snack times. Additionally, WASPS extends its services beyond regular preschool hours with an After School Club and Holiday Clubs, catering to children aged 2-11, including pupils from St Laurence School and other local children.

Operated by a team of committed, qualified childcare specialists and managed by a volunteer parent committee, WASPS places a high priority on the well-being and development of every child. As a charity, the preschool relies significantly on fundraising activities to supplement fees, ensuring the continued provision of quality facilities and diverse educational experiences.

They tie their term dates and inset days to those of St Laurence School, offering clear scheduling information for families.
