Wellingtons Day Nursery, established in 2014, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. Open 51 weeks a year, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, the nursery focuses on creating a safe and secure environment where children are happy and eager to learn.
Staff at the nursery cultivate strong relationships with parents and offer kind and nurturing care to all children. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, with staff drawing on children's prior learning and interests to plan engaging and exciting activities.
This approach supports children's understanding of mathematical concepts and promotes turn-taking skills. Communication and language development are well-supported, including for children requiring additional help.
The nursery utilises specific programmes to enhance staff-child verbal interactions, leading to positive improvements in children's speaking skills. Children engage in a variety of activities, from contributing ideas to stories to developing physical skills using outdoor play equipment and visits to local parks.
While independence is generally promoted, with children learning to dress themselves and hang up coats, the nursery is working on offering even more opportunities for self-management in daily routines. The manager ensures staff receive consistent support and training, actively monitoring practices to maintain a high standard of safety and care.

I had to come up to Rugby from Westgate on Sea to look after my niece and nephews whilst my sister was recuperating. I havent been in a childcare in many years as my child is 22!. But as soon as I walked in, the atmosphere was calming and so welcoming, My nephew (3) loves going each morning to meet "his friends" and teachers and chats all the way home about what he has done that day. They supported me through the week each day and were an absolutely godsend - special mention to Daniel who is just an absolute star and went above and beyond to get me through the week. Thank you
