Winterborne Stickland Nursery School is a new community-led initiative dedicated to re-establishing a village nursery. Their core mission is to offer a nurturing, secure, and stimulating atmosphere that encourages children's inherent curiosity and creativity.

The nursery operates on the belief that contented children are the most effective learners. In collaboration with parents and caregivers, they strive to equip children with the necessary attitudes, knowledge, and skills for successful and fulfilling lives.

The team comprises highly qualified, experienced, and passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, all committed to inspiring the children in their care. The nursery aims to provide year-round childcare, with the exception of the last two weeks in August, and offers session times from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM to support working families.

They provide breakfast, mid-morning, and mid-afternoon snacks, and plan to offer wraparound care for older siblings and holiday clubs. A key focus is creating a homely environment for young babies and establishing connections with external agencies to ensure families receive comprehensive support.

They also foster a partnership with Dunbury Academy to facilitate a seamless transition for children moving on to primary school.
