About this early years setting

Wonderland Day Nursery and Pre-school, founded in 1992 by Jill McClimonds, offers a nurturing and supportive environment for children from 9 months to school age. Driven by Jill's personal quest for high-quality childcare, the nursery has grown to become a cherished part of the Bridport community.

While Jill has since stepped back from daily operations to enjoy time with her grandchildren, her foundational ethos continues to guide the nursery. The management team, led by Manager Lisa Finnemore and Deputy Manager Sharon Record, ensures consistent leadership and a commitment to early years education, with a management presence always maintained at the setting.

The nursery also caters to children with special educational needs, actively pursuing additional funding and supporting EHCP applications to provide tailored support. They encourage parental involvement and offer workshops in various areas, demonstrating a holistic approach to child development.

We feel so lucky to have been able to send both our children to Wonderland. The wonderful staff really celebrated their different characters and gave so much love and support. There is so much trouble taken to make the days stimulating and creative and our children learnt so much in the way of songs, painting, etiquette and sharing etc., as well as being given trips around the town to get out and about. We couldn't have asked for a better place for them to be and we're so grateful to everyone at Wonderland!
