Woodland Wanderers is a Montessori-inspired nursery that strongly emphasises outdoor learning and sustainable practices. The curriculum encourages children to explore their innate curiosity through a child-led approach, with certified Montessori teachers guiding their development at their own pace.

Weekly forest school adventures are a core part of the experience, allowing children to engage with nature in all weather conditions, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the environment. The nursery integrates the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals into its daily activities, teaching children valuable lessons about conservation and ecological responsibility from an early age.

Beyond its focus on nature, Woodland Wanderers promotes a sense of community by exposing children to diverse cultures and languages, including Spanish and Mandarin, to broaden their understanding of the world. The nursery aims to be a nurturing, resourceful, and bountiful environment for young learners, inspired by the Baobab tree, and is committed to a minimal-waste ethos.

Our philosophy is ‘there’s no such thing as bad weather, just unsuitable clothes’, meaning our children get to explore the outdoors, whatever the weather, and experience the changing of the seasons before their very eyes.
