Wycombe Hospital Day Nursery, established over 35 years ago and registered in 2003, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. 15am to 6pm on weekdays, excluding bank holidays and staff training days, it offers a consistent and homely environment.
The nursery prides itself on a close-knit, family-oriented atmosphere where all staff get to know every child, fostering a strong sense of belonging for children and parents. Staff are particularly attentive, providing cuddles and praise, and effectively support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities by monitoring development closely, providing specific activities, and collaborating with other professionals.
Children who speak English as an additional language settle well, as staff use key words from their home language. The curriculum is broad and exciting, with staff planning engaging learning opportunities, such as toddlers exploring paint and cars, and older children confidently using paintbrushes with water on the tarmac.
Outdoor learning is encouraged, with pre-school children learning to manage risks, observing wildlife, and growing plants, which cultivates a keen interest in nature. The nursery remained open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, with staff demonstrating dedication and flexibility to meet parents' work demands, including holding parent meetings and the Christmas Nativity celebration outside.
Children are well-mannered, polite, and form strong bonds with their key persons. Staff monitor development closely, with a clear intent for the next steps in each child's learning journey.

Attentive staff, good facilities, there for the children and not the money they can make from parents like some other "commercial" nursery's. My daughter has had a wonderful 4 years here and has developed into a wonderful child.
