Inclusion & environment
Leaders and those responsible for supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) liaise effectively with external agencies at the earliest opportunity to ensure children have the support they need. Staff engage in specific SEND training so that the approaches they use have a significant impact on children's progress.
Children benefit from daily opportunities to play outdoors. They play team games and learn new skills that enhance their physical development. Leaders provide further opportunities for physical activity through external providers, resulting in calmer children indoors and improved sleep routines at home.
My son has attended Yellow Penguin for the past 9 months. The nursery it self is well kept and has a small but lovely out door area and have seen them visit the local park during the day. The rooms my child has been in are exciting and change regularly to incorporate interesting themes. Staff have always been lovely and handover what he’s been up to. When I’m not collecting him the Family app keeps me informed through out the day on how well he’s eaten or when he’s napped. Meals are always nutritional and he loves them. Overall I would say this is a lovely nursery with well trained and pleasant members of staff.
Read on GoogleMy child attended her for 9 months they kept calling for every little tantrum and stressing me sometimes up to 5x in 3 hours. When a child is given in nursery it's there responsibility to take care of them not keep calling me. It was never positive always had negative feedback, staff members are miserable. They dont smile my child use to cry every time he was dropped off. He has special needs they couldn't meet his needs and refuse to compromise and helping him which made me take the decision of taking him out. He had 30 hours yet only allowed 15 hours I asked to extend by 30 minutes they couldn't even compromise that. Very disappointed the manager is on mood sometimes she smiling sometimes she moody. I didn't feel warmth as a parent and felt they didn't want my child there. I wouldn't recommend this nursery to anyone my child left and they didn't even greet him they were so COLD towards him.. some of the staff where very nice one particular staff was very welcoming and loving towards my child. But I wouldn't recommend I didn't have a good experience.
Read on GoogleMy child attended the preschool room, and from the very beginning the staff were always so warm and welcoming. The room leader was incredibly attentive and always took the time to listen to any concerns I had. Although she wasn’t my child’s key person, she always knew how my child was getting on and was happy to talk to me about her progress whenever I asked. A huge thank you to the Yellow Penguin team for all that you do.
Read on GoogleBrilliant nursery, my nephew has been going there for nearly a year now and absolutely loves it! So many activities and choices for the children and brilliant links with staff and families through the famly app.
Read on Googlei had an awful experience with the management here, particularly with a staff member called tahira. absolutely rude and she should not be working with children! this is not a safe environment for children and i’d recommend that all parents avoid this nursery
