Activities are always planned around your child’s interests and next steps, and may include messy play, books, role play, creative, construction, investigation, heuristic play, and sensory play. Your child will also have access to a large outdoor space, where play is encouraged no matter the weather.

Children enjoy their time in this friendly nursery. They are greeted by staff who smile warmly as they welcome children in. They learn to have regard for each other's needs and feelings and are helped to develop respect and tolerance for each other's opinions.

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well. The member of staff responsible for coordinating the care and education for these children is passionate about her role, helping to ensure that they make the best possible progress. Staff quickly identify where there are delays or concerns and manage these well, seeking support from other professionals where necessary.

Outdoor space

Children recently voted on outdoor play equipment, and the item that scored the most votes was the piece of equipment that was purchased. Children carry out risk assessments of the garden, using pictorial prompts.

Best nursery in Lowestoft! My son's 4th nursery he went to and the only one his managed a full year at (covid). Absolutely wonderful staff who help the children develop great language and math skills, son's constantly coming home learning new things like the days of the week song or about the weather etc. Educational but also great fun, loved sending him as they do so much out side play, great for families like us who do t have a garden so the kids can run off their energy. Staff are kind and supportive, management is great and my son's had a brilliant year at the YMCA . Highly recommend

This nursery is fantastic for children unless they have additional needs, they will repeatedly send the child with additional needs home, and claim they have a temperature whilst providing no proof, they will also cut down hours within the child’s day. Whilst they do this they will continue to collect funding for that child. This nursery is not capable of providing care for children with additional needs regardless of them having said they would be able to provide adequate care and support for the child
