Inspector highlights
Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
"Owners say they are fully involved in nursery life and it is evident that staff constantly strive to improve."
"Others say they have had a fantastic experience and that staff have children's best interests at heart."
Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are exceptionally well supported. Staff swiftly identify any areas of potential delay and support parents in seeking advice from other professionals. All staff have accessed Makaton training and use initiatives from the local authority to support children's communication and language development. Children with SEND attend the nursery.
Children are helping to enhance the outdoor area and have requested a boat for imaginary play, which the parent committee has now sourced. The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact this has on children's learning.
We had my little boy at this nursery for about two months before they reported us to social services. No prior warning, just a knock at the door at night. We were obviously cleared of any wrong doing as we don't abuse our children!! Shocking lack of communication from this nursery. There are much better nurseries in Hetton. Edited to add - My little boy was there in Spring 2018. Hopefully, the new management gives more training on safeguarding. The bruises on our little one were OBVIOUSLY due to normal toddler bumps and bruises. He's a very active little boy, as they knew. I stand by my review to use caution when using this nursery.
Read on GoogleMy little boy is into his second year at this nursery. All of the care practitioners go above and beyond to make sure he is well looked after. I highly recommend this nursery.
