Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities benefit from early identification and intervention. Staff work closely with leaders and external professionals to ensure appropriate support. All children make good progress in their learning.
Children's physical well-being is well promoted. They benefit from fresh air and exercise. Pre-school children delight in planting and growing vegetables in their allotment garden. However, there is scope to further enhance the provision outside to help all children make the most of the time spent outdoors.
Obviously a massive improvement from how this nursery has previously been run. Staff are friendly, welcoming and able to remember the names of all the children which is a task in itself! My little one was struggling to adjust to nursery life, but its helpful that pickup and drop off times are flexible so if she sleeps in and needs a shorter day or just a few hours then that's no problem. She loves when we talk about Abi her key worker (sometimes seeing Abi is the only thing that gets her into the car in the morning), but all staff have been great with her, I'm sure with more encouragement she will develop her confidence. Thanks team, keep up the good work!
Read on GoogleMy son has been attending this nursery for almost 2 years now. And he absolutely loves it. Although there has been high staff turnover in the past but it’s better now. As someone in education I understand that sometimes this is out of the provider’s control. But my son has had amazing people look after him in the past and present. Abby, Jas, Becky, Leona, Shannon and I cannot forget to mention Chris the chef for making meals for the children and most of the team have been amazing as well. Thank you for making nursery fun and inspiring for my Little one x
Read on GoogleI will start by saying that I have checked almost all the local nurseries for my 2-year old, and I was impressed by the premises of Little Pioneers. Newly build building, spacios, clean, fresh, large outside area, decent parking. The food is great, cooked on the premises. You take your child and pick her up from her room. Other nurseries just hand it to you at the door step, no idea what is inside. The stuff is great, but changing quite a lot. For the admins I would like to mention that the nursery is quite invisible online. I searched all the nurseries I visited online, but this one somehow did not catch my eye, maybe because of too little pictures and descriptions. I only noticed it while driving nearby and decided to pop-in.
Read on GoogleDespite the unexpected closure of this nursery, my little girl loves it here. The staff are amazing, always positive. The nursery itself is lovely, clean and very welcoming. I always feel that she is in a safe and nurturing environment. I would definitely recommend this nursery to others :)
Read on GoogleMy LO has started Lanesfield Nursery in September. The practitioners are so amazing. They not only made my LO settle in and feel secure but also offered reassurance to me as a parent that was worried how my LO would settle coming from a nursery she had been to since she was a baby. The practitioners are always available to offer advice and support. Thank you to Nadia, Emily, Steffi, Sham and Sasha for being superstars!! I highly recommend this beautiful nursery to anyone looking for childcare, so many resources for the children to learn and play and have lots of fun. Especially the garden!! Thank you also to Chris for providing meals for the children that are cooked fresh in house with various options according to individual dietary requirements.
