Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and children with English as an additional language, have appropriate support in place. The special educational needs coordinator works closely with staff and other professionals to ensure the right support is in place for children to make progress.

Outdoor space

Children spend time in the garden and go on visits to the local park and frosty walks to explore the world around them. However, staff plan only a few outdoor activities and some children wander and struggle to settle because resources and planning outdoors are not as motivating as indoors.

EAL / language support

Children with English as an additional language have appropriate support in place.

We are so happy we chose 5star nursery for our daughter. She has been here for 9months now and she loves it. We had induction sessions to help her settle in and there are regular events such as stay and play which are a nice way for us to see her in her setting. The staff and management (Sam) are great here and share updates throughout the day. They take great pride in their work and are always smiling. My daughter has settled and developed faster than we anticipated. Food at the nursery has consistently maintained a 5star hygiene rating and is well balanced. As 2 anxious first time parents, we would definitely recommend this nursery.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. Our daughter started here just before her 1st birthday. We had 3 induction sessions before she started which helped her settle in but also put our minds at ease. My daughter has now been attending for nearly 2 months. When we get to the door she puts her arms out as she is so excited to go in. She has built a great bond with her key workers. Staff are super friendly and helpful and the management and staff team respond promptly to any queries we have. My daughter's skills have developed so well in the short time she has been at the nursery both socially and physically and the staff team have helped her work on the targets set by the health care team. Food at the nursery is well balanced and also has great options that we wouldn't ordinarily cook at home. We couldn't be happier with the nursery. Would definitely recommend.

Our daughter started this nursery in March. I visited many to find the right one and I knew as soon as I met with the manager Sam and she showed me around that this was the one!! I got such a lovely feeling about the place. They provided settling in sessions before she officially started and made me feel at ease leaving her for the first time. Fast forward 3 months and she has settled in so well, her development has excelled during such a short space of time and this is down to the hard work and care the staff put in. There is a great app which keeps us parents updated throughout the day with food, nappy changes, naps and lovely pictures/updates on what she has been up to throughout the day. They get them involved in lots of different age appropriate play; messy play, nursery rhymes, reading etc. All food is homemade on site and provides a well balance varied diet… some of which my little one would never try at home. The manager Sam plus Melissa, Zara & Courtney have always shown how much they care about the children and have answered any questions or concerns I’ve had. They have a strict policy for who is picking them up etc which shows how vigilant they are so I know my little girl is in really safe hands. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this nursery to anybody.

My 2.5 year currently attends this nursery as did my 4 year old daughter . It’s a great nursery and I would recommend to others . My son is very happy there . I have noticed a few positive changes since the new management took over in the last year or so and I can see how much Sam and the members of the staff care about the welfare of the children . Only this morning my son had gone into nursery a bit upset and before I had even arrived to work I had recieved an update on the nursery app they use showing him playing with his friends and back to his normal cheery self . Staff are always friendly and I have been inside the building on more than one occasion and everything is always clean and perfectly maintained . Keep up the good work 5star !

Our son has started attending this nursery in February when he was 7 months as i had to go back to work. I cannot praise enough all the ladies who work here especially Melissa and manager Sam who have gone above and beyond to help us, reassure me as a first time mum and make my little man feel like home at nursery. He has settled in perfectly and i am sure is in part due to the care and attention the ladies have for the wellbeing of the little ones who come here. The nursery is clean and the different rooms are well equipped with age appropriate toys. They have 5 star hygiene and on top they use the Famly app and we are updated with everything our little boy does, what he eats, sleep times and nappy changes. Absolutely brilliant nursery which we recommend to everyone!
