Acle Pre-school, located in Norwich, operates as a registered charity overseen by a voluntary committee and staffed by a dedicated and enthusiastic team. The pre-school's core philosophy centres on providing a nurturing, home-like environment brimming with opportunities for children to explore and discover.
They emphasise fostering strong partnerships with parents, ensuring each child's individual interests and developmental needs are met to help them reach their full potential, ultimately building strong foundations for a bright and happy future. The curriculum is largely story-based, with a significant focus on communication and language development, alongside the six other learning areas outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
The pre-school employs a continuous provision and child-led activity approach, encouraging children to learn through play, revisit activities to solidify their understanding, and develop self-esteem, independence, and confidence. They aim to offer a secure and joyful space where children are encouraged to learn at their own pace, engage in new experiences, experiment with various materials, acquire social and communication skills, express themselves, and build pre-literacy and numeracy abilities.
Our ethos
Our ethos is to provide children with a homely environment, rich with opportunities to explore and discover. We pride ourselves on a strong parent partnership where every child's interests and needs are met to ensure they meet their full potential, setting firm foundations for a bright and happy future.
