Acorn Playgroup & Pre-School, established in 2013, is a childcare setting for children aged 2 to 4 years located in Welwyn, Hertfordshire. Acorn Playgroup and Pre-School is committed to creating a secure space where children can learn and develop independence and confidence. They focus on individualised care, working closely with families to extend each child's knowledge and support their growth, and are trained in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged per three-hour session or per hour, with an additional daily option for lunch club. Invoices are billed and paid on a half-termly basis. A registration fee applies to secure a place, though this is waived for children starting with government childcare funding.

We love the staff here, the atmosphere is one of a loving family. The children intact really well and their individual needs are noticed. Each child is nurtured and really blossoms here. The resources and activities available at Acorn are amazing and imaginative. It is like leaving our little one with extended family! Highly recommend.

Acorn is truly the most fabulous place for children to be authentically themselves, to grow, and to learn in a safe and nurturing environment. For the past five years, my children have absolutely thrived here, constantly exploring imaginative play, enjoying outdoor fun, creating masterpieces, and making wonderful friends. The teachers are simply beautiful souls who genuinely care about each child's wellbeing and work so hard to create the best memories for them. We are forever grateful we discovered Acorn and wholeheartedly recommended.

Acorns is a safe, professional playgroup and pre school surrounded by love from every single teacher. The children are beyond happy, and the activities they do are creative, fun and developmental for their future. My daughter has absolutely loved her time here! I wish we could stay forever!

Acorn is an amazing place for young children. The teachers are incredible, very professional, nurturing and kind. Communication is excellent and they are always helpful with any enquiries.
