Inclusion & environment
The manager utilises additional funding to provide specific resources relevant to children's individual needs, and as a result the most vulnerable children make good progress.
Children enjoy learning outside where they develop larger muscles through ball games and participate in external sports coaching. They also explore sensory opportunities outdoors, for example using foam to clean toy babies and discussing how it feels.
I owe so much to Alpha Bears. As a new first time mum, that had both of my children, very close together- Alpha Bears, practically helped me, & taught me how to do everything- from potty training, to ABC's to maths & reading- trying new foods, great new experiences- way beyond just their usual school learning. Most of my children's wonderful characteristics & their amazing personalities, are due to the early years at Alpha Bears. It was so reassuring to know that my children were so happy, loved & cared for. I owe a lot of my children's great upbringing, & learning the fundamentals, to Alpha Bears. I will always be grateful, & feel so lucky that my children got to experience a wonderful early years education here. It's not just a nursery, it's a family. Thank you. We miss you guys! X
Read on GoogleMy daughter has loved attending Alphabears since the day she started. She settled in so well and was ready to embark the new journey. She definitely hasn’t looked back and has grown in personality, knowledge etc. It’s definitely been peace of mind knowing she is looked after so well and also enjoys it so much. She has made so many lovely friends and the staff are so friendly and supportive too. I would highly recommend them to anyone that’s looking for a nursery in the area.
Read on GoogleI would recommend alpha bears to anyone who wants to help their child thrive in their early years. My two children have spent 3 years there and I will be sending my youngest too when he is old enough. I always feel my children are safe and they absolutely love it, amazing and engaging activities, they develop incredible bonds with their teachers and it's a small and nurturing environment. I wouldn't put my children anywhere else, hands down the best nursery in potters bar! We are very sad to be leaving for big school but I know they have had the best start to prepare them!
Read on GoogleMy daughter went to Alpha Bears and my son currently goes there. It is hands down the best nursery in the area. All of the staff are nothing short of amazing and some have been there for many years so have a lot of experience. The food menu is great and very varied. My son has started eating a much bigger variety of food since going here. They also offer extra activities like yoga, supernastics and a few others which my son really enjoys. On the days my son doesn’t go to nursery he asks to go there! So they are definitely doing something right! :-) If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
Read on GoogleThe Best Decision We Ever Made for Our Daughter! From the moment we enrolled our daughter here, we’ve seen a complete change in her! She now walks into the nursery with a big smile and leaves just as happy. This has been the most reassuring experience for us as parents. I cannot thank Elena, Nicky, and Emily enough for making her feel safe and welcome every single day. They show the kind of patience and care any mother would hope for, and their understanding of modern parenting methods has been a huge comfort. Prior to joining this nursery, we had a difficult experience elsewhere. After a bad experience at a soft play, my daughter struggled with separation, and it would often take nearly an hour to settle her at her old nursery. The process of taking her from me made things worse, leaving both of us stressed. However, since moving to this nursery, everything has changed for the better. The difference is incredible, and I am so grateful for the team’s approach, patience, and genuine care for my child’s wellbeing. I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a supportive and nurturing environment.
