What it's like to attend

Children arrive happily and form close relationships with staff, feeling safe and secure. They freely explore an inviting play environment with stimulating resources. Independence is promoted well, with children managing self-help skills and making choices about their play, showing high levels of engagement and self-esteem.

Inspector highlights

  • The provider, manager and staff have worked tremendously hard to raise the quality of the nursery since the last inspection.
  • Children enjoy mark making in a range of ways, strengthening their smaller hand muscles, coordination and control.
  • Children have great fun in the mud kitchen, experimenting with different ingredients and developing pouring skills.
  • Children practise their number skills and use more complex language to talk about directions with electronic robots.
  • Communication and language development is a a strength, with staff using additional assessments to focus support and provide opportunities for discussion, resulting in clear speech and increased confidence.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Communication and language development is a strength. Staff use additional assessments to help focus the support children need to make progress. In particular, for children who require additional support to narrow the gaps in their speaking skills.

Outdoor space

Outdoors, children use chalk on the path to create their own pictures or copy the numbers that are written on rubber tiles. Other children use different sized paint brushes to make their marks with water.
