Inclusion & environment
Staff provide effective support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They work closely with parents, external agencies, and professionals, such as the local authority SEND team and schools, to implement shared strategies. Leaders use additional funding to provide appropriate resources and play experiences that follow children's interests and help them progress from their starting points.
All children enjoy access to outdoor areas, where they have opportunities to run and play and develop their large muscles. Staff encourage risk-taking and support children to persist through challenges, such as when navigating over the balance beam. Older children are encouraged to put on waterproof clothing and wellington boots independently as they prepare to play outside in all weathers.
My daughter has attended Amaryllis since she was 13 months old, she is now about to start Reception. We are both very much struggling with the concept of not attending here every day. My daughter is more than school ready, all thanks to the incredible team at Amaryllis - from those that support the children in the room, to management and everyone in between. They have supported me through many things, whether nursery related or not, all to ensure my daughter continued to thrive. We are so fortunate to have found such a wonderful setting, the number of children in each room is very small so each child is seen and heard, they are able to bring out the very best in everyone and the children themselves have formed very close bonds with staff and children alike. We cannot recommend Amaryllis enough, if you are lucky enough for your child to claim a spot here, it will best the decision you can make and will build an excellent foundation in their early years.
Read on GoogleI was a bit unsure about sending my son to nursery again as he didn't have an amazing experience at his last place. I needn't have worried as once he settled in at Amaryllis he loved being there. So much so he cried when he left the baby room to move up to the pre-school room. The staff are amazing and Simone and Adi have also helped me in so many ways beyond their duty of looking after my son. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The location is great for the kids being part of the Limelight centre as they have access to the library and the 4D space. My son is very quiet and shy but he has come on brilliantly at Amaryllis and is now ready to join his siblings at 'big school' as we call it. I cant thank Amaryllis nursery enough and we will miss them when he leaves.
Read on GoogleWe only have good things to say about Amaryllis Day Nursery; both of our boys attend the nursery, the eldest has been there since 2022 and it’s been great to see his development and how much support he has going from a baby to nearly school ready. Whether it’s in the baby room or the toddler room, the staff are incredibly friendly and supportive and we would highly recommend this place.
Read on GoogleFantastic nursery with very kind, friendly and attentive staff. My child has developed incredibly with her social skills and communication and has formed lovely friendships whilst attending. With my child struggling with food intake they made every effort to help her feel comfortable and encouraged her; offering alternatives when necessary. Overall a very nurturing and supportive environment.
Read on GoogleIt’s hard to express just how thankful I am for the love, care, and support my son has received over the past four years at Amaryllis Nursery. From the very beginning, he was welcomed into a warm and nurturing environment, and it has been such a joy to watch him grow, develop, and thrive during his time there. The keyworkers and staff are truly amazing—kind, attentive, and so dedicated to the children. Their passion shines through in everything they do, and it’s clear how much they genuinely care. The managers have also been nothing but supportive, approachable, and actively involved in every aspect of the children’s welfare and wellbeing. As emotional as it is to say goodbye, I feel incredibly grateful for the wonderful start in life that Amaryllis Nursery has given my son. He leaves with confidence, happy memories, and a strong foundation for the next stage of his journey—all thanks to the incredible team at Amaryllis. Love yaz like I love Beyonce x
