We visited Apple Tree Farm today and we had a lovely time cuddling the baby Alpacas and baby lambs. It was a brilliant experience of feeding the pigs and sheep with Brenda who herself is very welcoming and a lovely person. There is even a sheep called Richard who likes to follow you about just like a dog. I would definitely recommend a visit to Apple Tree Farm, the only thing Brenda asks is if you can call first to let her know when you would like to visit. We will definitely be going back! 😊

I visited Apple tree Farm recently and have to say that it was beyond brilliant. Brenda and Phil are such a lovely couple and considering they are still new to running a farm they already have a lot of knowledge and show interest and passion in what they do. They run therapy sessions for groups or they will give you a guided tour of the farm. Myself and my parents got a guided tour and I even got to hold a newborn alpaca, lamb and chick. Brenda was very comfortable with letting me hold the babies and gave me a chance to pet one of the older alpacas too. All the animals have the best care and an amazing home to live. I even got the chance to feed the pigs and sheep, the sheep would even feed from my hand! We also really enjoyed having the larger sheep following us around the farm as we toured it, he was such a character! The chickens and ducks were also very cute and looked very content with their home. The baby chicks were adorable too and only a day old. I felt very relaxed here and felt a nice welcoming and warm energy. We were shown to the room where they hold some of their therapy sessions, it was very cosy and I can imagine that children and adults would enjoy it here. It is definitely worth the visit if you are in the Somerset/Devon area, just ensure to contact Brenda and Phil before you visit to make sure that they are free as they run private sessions and will be closed to the public for that time. Bottom line is I would one million percent recommend them to visit as they are polite, professional and very kind. Kathryn Joy😊

Amazing place and the experience! We just had the most relaxing and stress-free couple hours. Beggining with the warmest welcome and ending with a nice cup of coffee. To be honest, it was much more than we expected. Running around with the goats, feeding sheeps, playing with ferrets and cats, not to mention the amazing alpacas, that makes you smile from ear to ear and gives you the feeling of peace! And what made the experience even more pleasant, was that the animals looked so happy and enthusiastic. Really enjoyed it, definately worth visiting, keep up the good work, such a shame the time flies so fast in here.

I visited the farm recently. I had such an enjoyable time. The first animals I saw were a mother and her 24-hour old cria. What a little beauty she is though she didn't have a name yet. We moved over to the gate into the larger enclosure with 7 other female alpacas, 6 of which are due to give birth imminently. While Brenda and I were talking about the alpacas and the farm Brenda noticed that Millie had actually climbed up the slats on the fence and was right at her mother's shoulder. Brenda remarked 'now that's new.' This is another milestone that Millie has achieved along her road of becoming a physically stronger child. It is a moment of celebration for Millie. The soil based pathway along the different pens of animals is very well done. It is wide and smooth so it will accommodate wheelchairs, buggies and other mobility aids. I also met Phil the other half of the team who told me more about the farm and then he was off to complete other work around the farm. There are proper gates between pens. We eventually came along to the pen with the Ouessant sheep which are really quite small. I think they are considered the smallest sheep in the country. There is also one of Brenda's most recent acquisitions which is a Valais Blacknose sheep called Russell. He is delightful and really loves a good cuddle. He is really like a pet doggie. He's very gentle and if you've never seen this breed of sheep you'll really enjoy him. There are adult pigs and now some baby pigs which I think are called Saddlebacks. There are also chickens and ducks. An entire menagerie of animals for you to interact with whether adult or child. Additionally there are areas set up for interactive play and games. The farm is set up for animal-assisted therapy it provides stimulation and fun. I had a wonderful time there. Do make sure to contact Brenda/Phil and make an appointment to visit. Finally if you are a craftsperson and use alpaca fibres or sheep fleece then contact Brenda to buy some of her lovely fleece. I have some and will be felting some and see what I come up with. It is lush.
