How they support every child

SEND provision

Parents describe the nursery and staff as 'wonderful' and 'amazing' and note the positive impact the provision has on their children, particularly those with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Outdoor space

The programme of activities and learning opportunities is enriched with many outside activities. For example, children visit the local woodland regularly to learn about nature, and enjoy visits to the beach to learn about marine life. Some older children enjoy jumping off the low-level walls in the garden and understand how to do this safely.

The team at Artemis are incredibly supportive; my little girl feels safe and welcome and happy. I know from the daily messages and pictures what she’s up to, how she’s slept, whether she’s eaten well, what new exciting activities she’s tried! It’s very reassuring to know she is being cared for so beautifully. The nursery nurses are friendly, honest and open, and the response to the pandemic has felt safe and extraordinarily responsible. Also during a difficult time myself when I needed extra help I felt truly supported by the team. Thank you Artemis!!!

We are incredibly happy with Artemis nursery as a place of learning, playing, joy and care for our three girls who attend. We started in the midst of lockdown with our twins and then started our youngest half a year later and couldn’t be happier. Despite them starting in the midst of a pandemic every effort has been made to help our girls adjust to time away at nursery and the attention and love they receive is more than we could have hoped. There is a real family feel from the staff there and the kids together, it’s really lovely. When we have needed special attention for one or more of our girls they have gone above and beyond with helping us manage with advice and support beyond their nursery hours. I couldn’t recommend this nursery more, the practitioners are all brilliant, kind and extremely skilled at what they do. We’ll be sad when the girls move on to school!

Wonderful nursery, we highly recommend it! Our 18 months daughter is so happy going there, Courtney and Shannon take care of her so well. She always does really interesting and fun activities, the meals a very nice, and they spend time outside every day. And she sleeps very well there! Sophie the administrator of the nursery is very responsive and super helpful. A truly great place and team!

Our 3-year-old daughter began at this nursery at the beginning of the year, in a time of trepidation and uncertainty for many. Every single member of staff we came across and interacted with unfailingly put us at our ease, made us feel comfortable, welcome, safe, and simply couldn’t do enough to help us with anything we needed or asked for. Every morning is a pleasure to take our daughter to the nursery, and upon picking her up we always get a full rundown of her day. In addition we receive regular updates throughout the day of her activities, food eaten, and even photos of her playing. The proof of how wonderful this nursery is lies with the reaction of our daughter, who arrives home smiling from ear to ear, full of tales of fun and laughter, and telling us she can’t wait to go back. Well done to all the staff for working brilliantly throughout the current situation. I really can not praise this nursery highly enough. We feel incredibly lucky and spoilt to have this on our doorstep.

I have only wonderful things to say about this nursery. I am so grateful for their care and support of my little boy. They keep me informed of everything happening within the nursery on are extremely supportive. The app they used to keep parents updated is excellent with live feeds that mean I can see what he's eating and his nappy changes as they happen. The pictures and videos are amazing and wonderful to see. Thank you to Shannon, Courtney and all the other staff in the baby room xxxx
