Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff create a curriculum that builds on the existing skills and knowledge of all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Staff identify, and provide effective support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Where necessary, they seek the support of external professionals and act on their advice to support the learning and good progress of the children.

Outdoor space

Outside, children decide the snails they find are a family because of their size. They use magnifying glasses to observe the snails, considerately sharing these with their friends. In the sand pit, children fill buckets to make sandcastles. Staff support the physical development of the children effectively. They visit the local park where children run and climb outside in the fresh air. Children use simple tools safely to create their dens. Children cheerfully sing songs with staff, as they use the rockers in the outside area.

EAL / language support

Children who speak English as an additional language are supported effectively. In the setting, children see words in their home language alongside the English translation, and this helps to support their understanding of English. Parents share their cultural celebrations, such as Eid, with the children. This helps children to understand and respect different beliefs.

Truly Special Nursery I Can't recommend Nichola & her team enough We've been so impressed with this nursery. While it has a charming, old-school feel—with traditional toys, a homey atmosphere, and a calm, structured environment—what really sets it apart is the staff. Every single member of the team is incredibly attentive, caring, and truly exceptional at what they do. You can tell they genuinely love working with children, and their experience shines through in the way they handle everything with such calm confidence and warmth. Our children has absolutely thrived here, and we feel so lucky to have found a place that offers such heartfelt care. It’s not flashy or overly modern but it doesn’t need to be—this nursery focuses on what really matters, and they do it beautifully. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring so much for every child in your care !

My daughter has absolutely thrived here. Going from a failed setting previously and with high SEN needs, non verbal and autistic who wouldnt look at and acknowledge anyone or accept them to starting to talk, having attachments with staff, children, engaging in learning tasks and play is just amazing. They are like a second family to her
