Inclusion & environment
Staff establish which children might need extra support from other agencies and quickly implement plans to support children's communication skills. For example, they teach simple sign language so that children can make themselves understood as they play with their friends.
Older children have free access to outdoor play and learning throughout most of the day. However, outdoor play is not consistently provided for all age-groups, as younger children do not access outdoor play as often as the older children.
Ash Park have been taking care of my little boy for two years, I trust them implicitly they always go to great lengths to keep me and my partner informed. His Key Workers are incredible Vincent absolutely adores Lily in particular but also Emma and Varna. Any issues are quickly highlighted and he has a wonderful time and learns a lot everyday. We love him attending and the biggest reference I can make is our daughter will soon attend also. The food he is given is varied and healthy, the trips undertaken are educational and fun spending lots of time outside as children should. I highly recommend ash park to anyone seeking childcare needs.
Read on GoogleWe previously had our sons in a Nursery in Northallerton, which is where we live. In December of last year our son who was suspected to have SEN was expelled from this Nursery. To cut a long story short, we were not at all happy with the way the senior management handled the care of our son and submitted a complaint to Ofsted. We were therefore very nervous when choosing a new nursery however Ash Park childcare could not have been more welcoming since the day we first visited the setting. They have been open, transparent and all the staff have gone out of their way to support and make our sons feel happy. Their no nonsense, down to earth approach has been exactly what both of our sons needed. For our eldest son who is still suspected of SEN, they have made every effort to try to understand him and put in place consistent routines to help him through the day. Although the 40 minute round trip to drop them off everyday can be a struggle, to be honest, we’d probably drive half away across Yorkshire to drop our kids off at Ash Park, as we don’t think there is a better Nursery in the region. For our eldest son, although we still have challenges with him, we feel he’s turned a corner in terms of his behaviour, communication and potty training. He’ll be starting school in September and we’d like to thank all the staff for all their support. For any parents looking to give their child the best start in life we’d highly recommend Ash Park - we even booked them for our wedding!!
