How they support every child
SEND provision
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make admirable advancement in their communication and language skills due to highly impactful support. Staff use strategies such as Makaton sign language to support children with SEND, embedding this into children's daily routines to promote inclusion and access to the curriculum. Staff also receive targeted training on topics such as autism or communication and language, and use refined assessment tools to monitor the progress of children with SEND. Leaders ensure funding for children with SEND provides the most benefit, sometimes providing one-to-one time with staff or purchasing specific resources.
Outdoor space
Leaders and staff place a high priority on outdoor learning, and children receive varied opportunities to support their large-muscle skills, coordination and balance. Children giggle with glee as they chase bubbles outside or make mixtures in the mud kitchen.
EAL / language support
Children with disadvantage or special educational needs and/or disabilities make admirable advancement in their communication and language skills. For instance, some children arrive at the nursery with little to no language skills. These children receive highly impactful support and learn how to hold conversations and retell stories. Consequently, this supports these children to benefit from and make progress in other areas of the curriculum.

My eldest has been coming here since just after Easter. Ellie and Amy (as her key workers) are amazing with what they do, they are so suppprtive with both me and my daughter. They always have time for her even if they are meant to be on break or are not even at work. Emma runs it brilliantly, she is very accomodating and flexible allowing my daughter to join in with a little trip out of nursery during times she doesnt normally attend the nursery at all. She also makes sure we are informed of everything through e-mails and letters and responds super quick too. Everyone is welcoming and makes conversation, and supports you and your child during highs and lows. I appreciate everything this nursery does and I cant reccommend it enough. 😀
