Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities benefit from well-planned adaptations that support their behaviour and self-regulation. Staff develop targeted plans that set out precise and achievable steps for children with SEND. Leaders collaborate with professionals, such as health visitors and speech and language therapists, and guide families to wider support when needed.
Staff use the outdoor area to strengthen children's physical development. Walks to the village park provide opportunities for babies, toddlers and older children to develop balance, core strength and gross motor skills. Staff teach children how to move safely over uneven surfaces and climb with control.
My little person has been at this nursery since he was a baby, he absolutely loves it and is thriving there. He has brilliant relationships with the staff, who are really dedicated and genuinely caring. He’s developing so well as he has excellent and varied educational experiences (through play) with a great emphasis on time outdoors. Every single member of staff, including the manager, are so approachable. We will really miss it when he moves on to school but they’ve build an excellent foundation for him that I feel will really support him with the transition. Highly recommend and can’t thank them enough for their care.
