E. Academy in Evesham, catering to children aged 2 to 4 years old.
The playschool is open Monday to Friday, from 8am until 6pm, all year round, closing only for bank holidays. The setting has a capacity for 24 children and currently has 27 children on roll.
With four childcare staff, three of whom hold Level 3 early years qualifications, the playschool provides funded early years education. Since its last inspection on 21 May 2025, Rainbow Playschool has been working closely with the local authority early years team and has an action plan in place to further improve.
The playschool provides a secure and well-maintained environment, both indoors and outdoors, where children are encouraged to make independent play choices. For example, children enjoy being creative and imaginative with role-play equipment and engage in activities like cooking, being doctors, or going on a train ride.
They also have fun with sponge painting and using shaving foam for mark-making. Children benefit from physical activities in the garden, such as digging in the sand, playing with bubbles, and using a seesaw, all of which support their well-being.
The playschool is committed to identifying and supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, working with external agencies for targeted support. They also prioritise children's safeguarding, with effective arrangements in place and a culture that puts children's interests first.
Parents are happy with the support staff provide to them and their children. The provider is reflective and realistic about the areas needing improvement and is ambitious to achieve good quality in the future.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are identified. The provider and staff are working with external agencies, where applicable, to provide targeted support for these children. However, there is scope for the provider and staff team to build better relationships with other providers, specifically local schools, to further support smooth transitions when children are ready to move on.
The environment is suitably resourced both indoors and outside. Children like physical activities in the garden, including digging in the sand, playing with bubbles and riding on a seesaw. This helps to promote their well-being.
