Beach Babies Nursery, established in 2004, is dedicated to fostering children's growth in a natural and stimulating environment. The nursery aims to cultivate confidence, creative thinking, and a spirit of independent, curious learning in each child.
With a strong emphasis on outdoor exploration, both its Wilburton and Landbeach locations offer abundant green spaces, complete with campfire circles and opportunities to engage with nature, from mud play to observing insects and trees. This approach provides a homely, secure, and fun setting, encouraging children to challenge themselves and develop resilience.
The nursery supports children from 10 months to 5 years old, operating 51 weeks a year with core hours from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. Beach Babies prides itself on its highly qualified staff who are committed to delivering excellent early years education and maintaining lower-than-Ofsted-specified ratios for consistent, quality care.
The nursery integrates activities like farm visits, gardening from seed to table, and extensive outdoor play to ensure children learn about and appreciate the natural world in all seasons. While offering a supportive and nurturing base, Beach Babies also addresses the practicalities for parents, providing information on funding options and acknowledging the common challenge of securing childcare spaces with advice on early registration due to long waiting lists.

Outdoor space
Children have ample opportunities to explore their natural surroundings, including an orchard, garden and woodland area. They use outdoor resources such as a 'tipping tap' to collect water for the mud kitchen, promoting physical play, teamwork and practical skills.

I could not be happier and prouder that my daughter got to be a Landbeach Beach Babies child. She is confident, opinionated, curious, sure of herself, caring, and above all happy, and I fully thank Beach Babies for being a huge key part of her childhood. This setting wholly understands the importance of early years education and is passionate about the benefit of being outdoors, community, and the value of each child’s voice and personality. I could not be happier with the care she has been given for four years, and the steps the setting takes to be looking after their staff and children, and the progression the children experience from babies to school leavers. A childcare setting that goes the extra mile constantly should be valued and treasured- thank you thank you thank you 🙏

Beach babies is fantastic nursery. As I was a first time mum and a uni student, Tracy was ever so helpful and supportive. Then the staff helped navigate through so many changes My daughter had, from dropping napping, potty training and developing my daughters speech. Tracy and the whole team are absolutely wonderful and the forest school theme included was amazing. I can not thank everyone enough.

We have been incredibly happy since we started at BB, transitioned from other setting! Rhi (our key person) was fab from the beginning and every single adult! Tracy has built something special - we feel the connection, dedication and empathy of the adults everyday and the energy is very much of a family and second home. There’s genuine interest in our daughter as a person and it just goes to show how my instinct as a mother wasn’t wrong, about transitioning to BB! Thank you for restoring my faith in childcare! Seeing the kids play in the garden at BB warms my heart - how play and childhood should be, free and muddy, together with adults that really care about them and are passionate about the precious time of childhood. Thanks for all your hard work and for recruiting so genuine folks to work with the children. Our daughter was happy since day 1 and I can see the shine in her eyes! We’re all so much happier.

Both my children have attended Beach Babies, with one still currently attending. My partner and I can not fault this nursery in any way. From the nursery setting itself to the incredible staff - it really is second to none. I would highly recommend Beach Babies nursery.
