Birkenhead School is a leading independent day school located in Oxton, Wirral, catering to children from 3 years old through to Sixth Form. The school fosters a warm and supportive community where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, explore their passions, and cultivate a lifelong enthusiasm for learning.
Every child is recognised, valued, and celebrated for their individuality. The Early Years programme, known as Pre-Prep, welcomes children aged 3 to 4, with an expectation that they will continue their educational journey into Prep.
The school focuses on building strong relationships between pupils and teachers and offers a broad range of co-curricular activities and trips designed to enrich students' experiences and support their overall well-being, both physically and mentally. The school operates with core values including respect, responsibility, resilience, inclusivity, compassion, courage, humility, and integrity.
While the school offers a five-day provision for Pre-Prep, there is an option for a four-day attendance pattern for families who prefer it, though the fee remains consistent with the full five-day offer due to staffing and curriculum planning.
