Inclusion & environment
The staff use observations and assessments to monitor children's development, identify any gaps in learning and address them quickly. All children, including those who require extra help and those in receipt of additional funding, make good progress from their starting points.
Staff plan good opportunities for children to develop their physical skills. They have daily trips to the park and weekly sessions with a sports coach. Older children skilfully roll hoops and move between cones. Toddlers thoroughly enjoy jumping in puddles and kicking leaves. Babies crawl to explore the environment and move their bodies to music.
The Ladies at the Blue Pear Nursery and Preschool are absolutely lovely and amazing with the children. My son loves going to the preschool and enjoys spending time there. I can see the progress that he has made with reading, counting etc. The ladies have done an outstanding job also prepared him really well for his start at reception in September. I can’t thank them enough for all the work and effort that they’ve put into my son (on an emotional and educational level). I would highly recommend this nursery/preschool.
Read on GoogleMy son attended for approximately 18 months from the toddler room to pre school. He loved his time there and was always cared for and well looked after by the lovely staff. I loved the level and detail of communication about his days (through Tapestry app and at pick up), and through the periodic reviews about his progress against age milestones. I highly recommend this day nursery
Read on GoogleOur two children went to blue pear from baby room to pre school and both loved it. The staff are friendly and kind and it is a well run nursery. The nursery has a lovely atmosphere. We recommended blue pear and they've loved it too.
Read on GoogleA fantastic nursery. Staff were all professional and caring and our one year old thrived! She made huge progress during the 8 months she was there and loved going in each day. We were given plenty of relevant feedback about our daughter's progress and activities. Highly recommend blue pear.
Read on GoogleAn absolutely fabulous nursery. My son only attended one day a week but his progress in all areas sped up phenomenally after only a few sessions. Being at BP boosted his confidence, his interest in art, his social skills and his language and numeracy skills immensely. I can't emphasise enough just how lovely the staff are at BP; Henry looked forward to seeing them every week and barely gave me a second glance once dropped off! The staff were always consistent and everyone I spoke to there knew exactly who my son was and all his likes, dislikes and habits. A far cry from a previous nursery he attended where I saw his key worker twice in about three months and there was no sense of closeness with the toddlers at all... Henry always had the best time at BP, especially getting to go outside exploring every day he was there. We were absolutely devastated to leave and only did so because we were moving out of area. I would highly recommend this nursery if you are looking for a calm, well organised, friendly environment and professional staff who go above and beyond for the kids.
