Bowlers Community Nursery, established in 1985, has been an integral part of the Islington community for over four decades, providing a nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. Situated near the Parkland Walk, the nursery uniquely integrates nature into its learning approach, encouraging outdoor exploration and environmental respect.

Our ethos

Bowlers Community Nursery is dedicated to nurturing the whole child within a warm, inclusive, and secure environment. Our philosophy centres on learning through play, fostering curiosity, and building meaningful relationships. We believe in strong partnerships with parents to support each child’s development, emphasising outdoor learning and respect for nature. Our aim is to equip every child with confidence and resilience for their future educational journey.

Pricing & funding

This nursery operates 49 weeks a year, offering full-time, part-time, and two-day sessions. Fees follow Islington Council guidelines across eleven income bands for residents, while non-residents pay a market rate. Funded hours are stretched, and voluntary daily food charges apply depending on the child's age.
