How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported very well. Leaders, managers and staff quickly assess and identify developmental concerns and have a good knowledge and understanding of the children and their needs. They work closely with parents and other professionals to find the best ways to help individual children to catch up with their peers.

Outdoor space

The curriculum is less well developed for children who prefer to learn outdoors, as the outdoor area needs further development. The provider should implement plans to develop the outdoor area to enable children who prefer to learn outdoors to benefit from even more stimulating outdoor learning experiences.

We couldn't be happier with Brierley Field Children's Nursery! We started talking with them over email from overseas, before we made it to Sheffield while moving from Australia. From our first email correspondence with Teila, through to supporting our older child before starting year one, and caring for our younger boy for his pre-school year, both boys have loved going to this school, and their communication with us has been excellent. The staff are all wonderful and It's clear they all enjoy what they do. Thank you for making our boys' transition to the UK supportive, caring and enjoyable! We will miss you all very much!

My son has been so happy at the nursery. He started aged 1 and now in pre school. They have taught him so much and given him the best start to be entering school. The staff are kind and loving to the children. Also flexible to parents change of schedules which is so helpful when other nurseries can be very rigid. I couldnt recommend them enough! Thanks Brierley for taking amazing care of our boy.x

Very happy with the quality of care my son has received at Brierley Field. He's been going for 2 years and they've been really consistent at giving us all the details of his day plus keeping track of his development. They're very flexible, friendly and well organised too.

Lovely nursery, friendly, caring staff. Our son has attended for over a year now and loves it. The onsite catering is excellent and he particularly enjoys the outdoor play area. Very competitive rates and the flexibility they have allowed us has been a god send in this hectic modern world. Highly recommended Chris

I have to praise the really caring staff at the Nursery who are excellent. With regards to the setting, it is in the quiet area of Chancet Wood and all the rooms are spacious, clean and full of activities for the children. To the rear of the building is a really large, secure play area using soft flooring and the children seem to love playing in this area. 5 Stars from me. :)
