Bright Eyes Day Care Nursery is in Birmingham and provides care for children aged from birth to five years. The day nursery is open all year round, from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Ofsted inspected the setting in November 2022 and rated its overall effectiveness as Good. The inspector reported that children arrive happy in a safe and well-organised environment where they settle with the support of caring staff and make good progress.

Parent partnership is a strong aspect of the setting. Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities well, working in partnership with other professionals.

Children are encouraged to be physically active indoors and outdoors. Their activities include using ride-on toys in the garden and taking part in weekly outdoor physical activity sessions provided by a sports coach.

Our ethos

Bright Eyes Day care's philosophy is centred on "quality over quantity," aiming to foster independence, self-confidence, enthusiasm, and inquisitiveness. They believe in a child-led approach, where children are active, creative explorers who learn at their own pace through hands-on experiences, active thinking, and experimentation. Nutritionally, they focus on providing healthy vegetarian meals and snacks.

How they support every child

SEND provision

The manager and staff team support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities well. Partnership working with other professionals is effective and helps children to reach their full potential. Additional funding received by the setting is used to support all children.

Outdoor space

Children are encouraged to be physically active, indoors and outdoors. Older children learn to negotiate space as they race around the garden on ride-on toys. The setting has employed a sports coach who provides weekly outdoor physical activity sessions.

My son (now 6) went to this nursery prior to school. He absolutely loved it there and thrived beyond my expectations. We loved the nursery so much that we kept him there even when we moved out of the area. Lovely staff and brilliant manager who always makes time to discuss things with you. I am going back to work soon after maternity leave and they were the first place I called to look after my baby. Trust them with my babies 100%
