  • Ensure that all senior leaders are fully familiar with, and are able to effectively apply safeguarding policies, procedures and arrangements within their oversight role.
  • Ensure that safeguarding policies, procedures and arrangements are consistently and effectively implemented across all settings.
  • Ensure that senior leaders, including the Nominated Individual, maintain accurate and timely oversight of safeguarding concerns and risks across the organisation, so that appropriate and timely action is taken to protect children.
  • Ensure that safeguarding concerns are consistently identified, recorded, escalated and responded to appropriately across all settings, including consideration of emerging patterns and cumulative risk, in line with statutory safeguarding guidance.
  • Ensure that the procedures to manage allegations against staff are consistently followed across the settings, including the timely and accurate identification and escalation of concerns, recognition of when concerns meet the threshold for an allegation, prompt referral to the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) and notification to Ofsted where required. Ensure these actions are subject to appropriate organisational oversight.

I would 100% recommend this nursery! Here's why. My daughter started here almost a year ago, when it had recently opened as a new Bright Horizons nursery, the first impressions were great and I only have good things to say ever since. We’ve had a wonderful experience with this nursery and couldn’t be happier. The manager, Sam, is fantastic, he is approachable, supportive, and clearly very passionate about what he does. He's built a really strong team around him. His deputies are fab (especially Charlotte), all the staff are amazing and kind (especially room leader Jenni), the chef (Kat) is super sweet and the food sounds great. The nursery strikes the perfect balance between being highly professional and genuinely friendly, which gives me and my family real peace of mind. I felt really supported from the the first phone call I had with Sam, throughout the settling in period and my daughter (who was really shy at first) has thrived there. I'm so grateful for the care and attention my daughter receives and happily recommend this nursery to other families, we love it. Thanks to everyone there!

Bright Horizons Milton Road Nursery and Preschool has been exceptional for our family. This is the third nursery we have experienced as parents, and it has been the one that truly aligns with what we value. As someone who has worked as a learning development manager and safeguarding lead in education, I notice good practice immediately, and the standard here is consistently excellent. The staff are warm, attentive and genuinely child centred. Communication is clear, safeguarding feels strong and the learning environment is calm, engaging and purposeful. Our daughter has flourished here, and we feel completely confident every day we drop her off. I recommend this nursery wholeheartedly.

They are under new management now and I have heard from many friends and family that they are a lovely, nurturing place for children. All the staff put in so much effort to make this place a safe and welcoming environment for children. I can see some of the old reviews here are from before when they were under old management, and these certainly don’t reflect the fantastic and caring service they provide now!

I am so happy I chose Bright horizons Milton road for my child. We are always met with a friendly welcome. The safety and wellbeing of the children is paramount, communication is thorough and my child comes out happy, clean and content every day.

The staff, facility, and curriculum have been terrific for our infant! Very collaborative, useful app, and good quality food once they began solids. Highly recommended
