Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff use highly effective strategies to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They make small adaptations to daily routines so that all children can access them. Staff have excellent partnerships with a range of professionals and services. This ensures children with emerging needs are quickly identified through rigorous assessments. Children with SEND make the best progress they are capable of.

Outdoor space

Pre-school children and toddlers flow freely from indoors to outdoors. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.

EAL / language support

The nursery provides a wealth of support for children who speak English as an additional language. Many staff members use their own home language to support and settle children who speak the same language as them. Toddlers learn to count and sing in Spanish. Parents have been invited into nursery to share stories in their own languages. All children are learning about the different languages that their friends speak.

We adore Bright Horizons. Our little one has been attending for 6 months and it has been such a wonderful experience so far. The level of care is phenomenal, I feel absolutely confident that my child is being looked after to the highest standards and that the staff truly care for him and his wellbeing. The range of activities that are organised for the children is incredible, the food is nutritious and full of variety, and the leadership and management are excellent. It’s been amazing to see how our little boy has grown and developed under the care of the Bright Horizons team - I would recommend Bright Horizons to any other parents/guardians in the area :)

My daughter has been at Bright Horizons for a year and I have nothing but good things to say about it. The heart of the nursery is the staff who have all been caring, professional and committed to my daughter’s development and well being. The nursery is a lovely environment and there are constantly changing new activities for the kids which are always fun but educational. The food is amazing and the feedback received each day on the nursery’s online system and at the end of the day is very thorough. Reporting and receiving of any issues is again extremely thorough. There is also a benefit to the nursery being a chain as there is lots of centralised information provided about relevant issues. Thank you to everyone at Bright Horizons.

My toddler has been there for 2 years now and my baby is about to start. It's a fantastic nursery, the staff are super lovely and well trained, their responsiveness always impeccable. They keep us parents informed via an app so I always know what my son is up to in real time and they keep us posted with regular photos. Overall, I have very few complains other than I wish it was a little cheaper but that's what you get being in Didsbury and the quality of the care you get is second to none. They've been Ofsted Outstanding for a few years now which is commendable by itself.

This is a very friendly and welcoming nursery with a dedicated team of staff. My little boy loves his time there and the facilities are great. They cater to a vegan diet and are very vigilant about ensuring each child gets the right meal. They handle separation anxiety with a clear and supportive approach that lets the child manage their distress with help from the staff, and as a result, when my son started it was only a few days before he was desperate to go to nursery. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for local provision.
