Very helpful staff and knowledgeable, I have my second child in the nursery and the experience from signing up , waiting list, taster days and then full Monday to Friday sessions is great. I have full confidence in every staff and how they treat my children. Menus are designed around children’s health in mind and sometimes they eat better gourmet food than myself. Would highly recommend the nursery management team have been great in the past and present.

My Daughter currently attends the nursery and I encountered the nursery last year when I was recommended that it would be ideal for my daughter as it will set her up with the right tools To start school. starting on the waiting list being kept informed with when my daughter will start to onboarding and how carefully the staff and management team adhered to my requests, such as dietary requirements, patterns of her sleep, what makes her feel comfortable All I can say is amazing, the food that the chef has cooked for her has always gives her raving reviews. When I’ve had queries with the current management team they have always been prompt to respond and always friendly. Always recommend this nursery to anyone who wants to see their child develop and grow.

Harpenden Central is a really lovely nursery - well managed with kind and friendly staff who go the extra mile for the children and their families. We have sent both of our children to the nursery (our son still attends) and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. The children are happy and confident and enjoy the nursery setting with lots of varied activities. The communication from the staff is good and you get regular updates throughout the day on the app, or they are always happy to speak with you if you have a concern. The nursery also goes above and beyond to create a nice nursery community by arranging special activities at weekends/ in the afternoons at the nursery eg to celebrate mother’s or Father’s Day or for the pre school children when they graduate to big school. This allows parents to mix and the children love being able to show their grown ups around.

We were extremely disappointed with our experience at bright horizon. Our child attended for a month and developed severe nappy rash and dribble rash, despite our detailed instructions for care. Despite bringing our child in once a week, her condition worsened after each day at the nursery. We even found her in wet onesies. The nursery's lack of attention to basic hygiene and care is deeply concerning. Additionally, the manager who was responsible for the nursery's outstanding rating has left, raising further questions about the current quality of care. I would strongly advise prospective parents to consider other options.

Brilliant nursery - we have two little ones at Harpenden Central and the team couldn’t be better. They clearly care so much about the kids and also us as a family - it’s a pleasure to see everyone at drop off and pick up. Most telling is how both kids are so happy to go and get so excited whenever they see one of the team. Thank you all!
