Bright Horizons Harpenden Luton Road Day Nursery and Preschool provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. Their educational approach, "The Nurture Approach," integrates learning with emotional wellbeing, focusing on developing practical and life skills through their Bright Beginnings Curriculum.
This curriculum emphasises five key learning areas and incorporates outdoor adventures, including Forest School and Eco-Schools programmes. Recognising the importance of a smooth transition, the nursery offers non-chargeable settling-in sessions for up to six weeks before a child’s start date, allowing families to familiarise themselves with the environment and build trust with their child’s Key Person.
Mealtimes are also a priority, with freshly prepared food and careful allergy management. The nursery is part of a larger network with extensive experience, dedicated to supporting families through flexible childcare solutions and guidance on available funding options.
They maintain high standards, with a significant majority of their nurseries achieving "Good" or "Outstanding" ratings from Ofsted.

Lovely nursery with very helpful and amazing staff! My son was here for 2 years and it was an absolutely lovely experience for both of us! He learnt so much during his time there and made some good friends. He’ll be taking all of this to big school now and I know he’s ready and excited thanks to our time here! Xx
Read on GoogleStaff are all so friendly, professional and very caring towards the children. Our kids have loved their time there, built great friendship and learnt so much both socially and academically. We we would strongly recommend this nursery to anybody. Management team were always welcoming and know everybody's name and always make time for you.
Read on GoogleThis nursery really put the children first. I have been employed here for 3 months and have enjoyed every moment of it. Staff are friendly and welcoming and children receive top quality care. Meals and activities are prepared in accordance to every child's individual needs. Outstanding by ofsted says it all.
Read on GoogleUsed to be a great nursery but there are 2 main problems: 1. If your child still has naps and the other children don't, they just leave them in the same room and then most people cannot sleep as everyone is playing around them. 2. If for you pick up you child/children around the same time for a long period, if your child soils their nappy but the people there know you will pick them up soon, they just leave it so you have to do it at home
Read on GoogleVery professional. Our daughter is always excited to go to nursery.
