Inclusion & environment
Staff have high expectations of what children can achieve. Therefore, children make good progress, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Children enjoy being physically active. They engage in energetic play outdoors. Children develop their climbing skills and take safe and controlled risks as they strengthen their balance and coordination. They safely navigate the space available as they operate wheeled toys with confidence. Babies develop confidence as they negotiate walking up and down small ramps safely.
Our children have been attending the nursery for two and a half years and they have truly thrived here. The practitioners are wonderful, as is the management team. While our journey hasn’t been without its challenges, what has stood out most is the excellent communication between the nursery and us as parents. Whenever we’ve had concerns, the management team and practitioners have always been approachable and responsive. Likewise, when one of our children experienced some developmental delays, the team promptly informed us and worked closely with us to create a plan to best support our child’s progress.
Read on GoogleWe had a very disappointing experience with this nursery. Our son attended for a year but was never able to settle in, despite our efforts and communication with the staff. Several concerning incidents occurred during his time there, but the management was unhelpful and often displayed a dismissive attitude when we raised our concerns. During this period, we also noticed unusual changes in our child’s behavior, which made us feel very uneasy. We still don’t know what might have happened, but we are certain that something was not right. Ultimately, we decided to remove him from the nursery, and since then, he has been much happier elsewhere.
Read on GoogleLovely staff, amazing infrastructure, our daughter has been there since she is 6 months old. 2,5 years later she still absolutely loves attending the nursery every day. They do a lot of fun and didactic activities and you receive daily a summary of what your child did during the day. This nursery and their staff really go the extra mile, thank you Hendon Nursery for your valuable support.
Read on GoogleTia and the team are absolutely great, really helpful. Since the pandemic they’ve done they’re best to keep up up to date with changes to the nursery and what measurements they’ve put in place to continue to keep our children safe. The only downside is since the lockdown, the Beaufort nursery was temporarily closed which has led to our Hendon nursery taking on the extra children from Beaufort which has led them to being at full capacity. This isn’t allowing our child of 3 to move up to the next class from nursery to preschool. I know they are trying their best to overcome the situation and there aren’t many options to solve the lack of space for children to move to the next class. It’s just a shame our child has to suffer.
Read on GoogleThere has been a lot of change with our kids moving from Bright horizons Colindale to Hendon, it has been a struggle for both us and the nursery staff and management. But they have been responsive and understanding and we feel out little ones are well looked after and always excited to go to the nursery
