About this day nursery

Aplomb Day Nursery is a family-operated group of nurseries in North and West London, catering to children between 3 months and 5 years old. With a strong belief that children thrive in a comfortable, "home from home" setting, the nurseries are designed to foster learning through play and exploration.

They follow the Birth to 5 Matters framework, incorporating Montessori-style learning and STEAM education to cultivate curiosity and problem-solving skills. The curriculum includes early phonics for school readiness and a "5-a-day" reading rule to encourage a love for reading.

The nursery ensures children's well-being through daily outdoor play in safe, well-equipped garden areas, regardless of weather. They have clear health and safety guidelines regarding illness to prevent infection spread.

Aplomb Day Nursery provides both nursery and preschool experiences within a single setting, with a dedicated "Apple Class" for preschoolers focusing on structured, skill-based activities like Read Write Inc. phonics. Each child is assigned a Key Person to ensure personalised care and support, with open communication maintained with parents regarding their child's progress.

The nurseries also prioritise healthy eating, with an on-site chef preparing fresh, nutritionally balanced meals that adhere to Food Standard Agency guidelines and are checked by a nutritionist. They are working towards the Healthy Early Years London Award and catering to diverse dietary needs and allergies with care plans and a plate-colour system.

My son was going to aplomb nursery hendon since he turned one and half years and his journey there was truly amazing . The staff has been truly warm and welcoming and i could see my son happier and confident each day . He enjoyed all the activities there (evident from his clothes back home 😅) and his communication has improved greatly. My son will truly miss his frnds and sumaya riya audra for all the love . The staff ensured that they share details of his day every time and is ready to settle him after all the tearful morning drops ( which is the most anxious part). Special thanks to Samiksha for managing aplomb Thank you team

All of the teachers are exceptional at Aplomb Hendon. It was the best decision I made to move my 3 year old to this nursery. Being an educator myself, I know exactly what I'm looking for in the teachers who look after my son. Thank you to all of the teachers for their love and care for my beautiful boy. We are so grateful. All of the team are so communicative which is so important to me. Nothing is too much of an effort and this is very rare to find. My son is happy and delighted to go to nursery and he often talks about nursery at home - what he does and what he loves about it. Thank you again.

My daughter has been attending Aplomb Nursery for over 1 year, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care, support, and love she has received. From day one, the team has made my daughter feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow. I can see how much she has blossomed in confidence, independence, and happiness – all thanks to the incredible staff at Aplomb. A special thank you to her wonderful teachers – Shayma, Shakira, Ramla, and Amiri – who have each played such an important role in her development. They are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in every child’s progress. The nursery itself is always immaculately clean, well-organised, and filled with fun, engaging resources. The environment is not only welcoming but also thoughtfully designed to support learning through play. Communication has always been excellent – I’m regularly updated about my daughter’s day, milestones, and the activities she enjoys. As a parent, it’s incredibly reassuring to know she’s in such safe and loving hands. Aplomb Nursery has had a beautiful impact on my daughter’s early years, and I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done. I wholeheartedly recommend them to any parent looking for a nurturing, professional, and inspiring place for their child.
