Inspector highlights
Inclusion & environment
Partnership working with others is a key strength of this inviting setting. Parents share their experience and offer exceptionally high praise for staff. This includes how staff attended specific training to meet their child's individual needs, introducing sign language and picture cards into the setting to enhance their child's communication skills. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Children independently access water, use soil and natural ingredients during outdoor play games to create imaginary 'crumble' from their favourite story books. Children benefit from enhanced, focused play and learning activities that help to shape their understanding of their natural world. This includes using magnifying glasses to look for insects. Young babies explore a valuable herb garden environment with different scents and textures. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
We toured this nursery today and had such a lovely experience. The space was bright, clean, and thoughtfully set up for babies, and you can really feel how calm and nurturing the environment is. The staff were welcoming, patient, and happy to answer all of our questions, which immediately put us at ease. Highly recommend.
Read on GoogleStaff and nursery manager Kathy have been above expectations with my baby since we relocated and from day 1 have been flexible with settling in, very supportive with very good communication. I appreciate the staff being very friendly and inclusive and my baby always looks forward to attending nursery, keeping me at ease, knowing she is happy and developing social skills making friends and learning. I’m glad we chose Tingley nursery long term and look forward to more positive experiences.
Read on GoogleOur LO started at Bright Horizons Tingley at 5 months old, the staff are amazing and really take the time to understand your needs, I get daily updates and even photos of what our LO has been doing which makes us feel like we aren’t missing out. They are extremely professional and nothing is too much trouble. The nursery chef is amazing and cooks healthy varied meals/snacks whilst catering for all dietary requirements. 100% recommend this nursery. Looking forward to seeing our LO develop and learn new skills there over the coming years.
Read on GoogleA child centred nursery who put the children at the heart of each decision they make. All of the employees know the children and their needs on an individual basis. All members of staff are friendly, caring and compassionate about their role. I would highly recommend the nursery and I feel my son receives the best quality care in our absence. A huge range of resources and equipment are used to deliver a well-planned and pitched curriculum which is developmentally focused on ensuring the children enhance their basis skills in all areas.
Read on GoogleMy now 7 year old daughter attended this nursery from just 5 and a half months and loved every minute! She was more prepared for school than I could ever have hoped for. My 2 year old currently attends and talks about his friends and the staff that care for him every day. He can’t wait for his nursery days! The nursery was able to offer a brilliant settling in process for him, with tailor made visits to his room before he started. The staff are really tuned in to his interests and he learns so much. They always greet him with a smile and he adores his key worker. He eats much better at nursery than he does at home, so clearly enjoys the food. He takes part in all the different activities on offer and loves the outdoor area! It’s a bonus that the nursery is also one of the most reasonably priced in the area, as well as providing nappies/wipes etc. l feel very much at ease knowing he is, most of all, happy and safe.
